Annie DePasquale Bio

Annie DePasquale, aka Family Doc Annie, is a native of Virginia and currently resides there with her husband and three young children. Annie has had a very non traditional path to medicine. After studying piano and French as an undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, she joined the Teach for America program, through which she taught music at an elementary school in inner-city Baltimore for a few years. During her teaching years, she volunteered in a low-income clinic and at a local hospital, which pushed her towards becoming a physician. Annie attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for her first two years of medical school and then, because of illness in the family, she transferred to Virginia Commonwealth University to complete her final two years. She then went on to residency at Georgetown University where she became a Board Certified Family Medicine physician. For almost six years she practiced clinical medicine in the Washington, D.C. metro area. She provided primary care services at several low-income community clinics in Washington, D.C., at urgent care clinics in the DC suburbs, and served as a physician in the DC Department of Corrections.

Currently Annie is focused on providing science-based health & wellness services to her patients & clients. She is the Medical Director for Navy Federal’s Employee Health where she cares for patients once a week. She is also a remote telehealth provider for Rogue Community Health in Medford, Oregon. She is most excited about helping her weight loss coaching clients to transform their lives.

on a personal side…

Annie is married and has three young children. Joey is 1 year old, Natalie is 2.5 years old, and Jimmy is 4.5 years old. She loves spending time with her family. And she can relate to how challenging it can be to take care of yourself as a busy working parent.
